Modular building manufacturer Integra Buildings has donated £5,500 to Men in Sheds Anlaby, paying for new cladding across the front of the 50-year-old building the group uses at Anlaby Community Care Centre in west Hull.

Integra said the money funded the refurbishment of the building, where the group has been based for the past five years. Hull West and Haltemprice MP Emma Hardy cut the ribbon to mark completion of the work.

Phil Woodcock, Chairman of Men in Sheds Anlaby, said: "The building is 50 years old, so we had to do something to make sure we could carry on as Men in Sheds in this area."

He said the Integra donation had allowed the group to completely clad the front of the building and that the group was grateful for the company's support.

Supply chain support

Woodcock also thanked three other organisations. He thanked Eurocell for a substantial discount on the cladding, which he said helped keep the job within budget, MKM for supplying timber and Houlton for improving the group's car parking facilities.

Integra's SHEQ (safety, health, environment and quality) Lead, Tom Oliver, visited the group to see the finished work.

Oliver said: "Men in Sheds is a great charity and one we're really pleased to support." He added that the Shed gave people a way to get together and talk, which he said was just as important.

The UK Men's Sheds Association, which describes itself as the support body for Men's Sheds across the UK, says there are more than 1,150 Sheds open in the UK in 2026, with 180 or more in planning at any one time.

The company

Integra describes itself as a UK manufacturer of bespoke modular buildings. Companies House records show Integra Buildings Limited was incorporated on 12 June 1997, with its registered office at Integra House, Humber Business Park, Hedon Road, Paull, East Yorkshire.

The donation comes as the company heads towards what it has forecast will be a record year. Integra said it recorded turnover of £25.5m and pre-tax profit of £2.5m in the first half of 2026, and is forecasting full-year turnover of £55.6m with pre-tax profit of £6.35m.

Its workforce has grown from around 180 three years ago to 215, the company said. Integra also plans to invest around £7m across its Paull site, east of Hull, over the next three years, with a planned expansion increasing the footprint of the headquarters site by about a third.

Integra holds the King's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development and says it was the only modular construction company to receive a King's Award in 2025.

Men in Sheds Anlaby has occupied its building at Anlaby Community Care Centre for five years.
